Pauline qualified with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene at the Royal Dental Hospital in 1984. After working as a hygienist at the London teaching hospital and working in both private and NHS practices, she worked for two years in Zimbabwe. On returning to the UK, she worked in three local dental practices. She has been working at Whiteleaf Dental Practice since 2017.
Pauline finds guiding and motivating patients to maintain a healthy mouth both satisfying and worthwhile. By treating her patients holistically, it provides them with a better understanding of suitable treatment options. Working as a team player is important and Pauline particularly enjoys working with the friendly team here at the Whiteleaf Dental Practice.
As a child, Pauline spent many hours at the dentist and orthodontist and appreciates how apprehensive some patients are. She attempts to make each visit a positive experience and would like patients to feel comfortable and confident about their dental treatment. Pauline would therefore hope that patients feel she listens to them, understands anxiety issues, listens to concerns they have about their mouths and carries out treatment as gently as possible.
Having an interest in education, Pauline has also worked in a local junior school and gained a BA (Hons) in Teaching and Learning through Oxford Brookes University.
When Pauline is not working, she enjoys Pilates, walking and travelling. There is usually a craft project on the go and a book waiting to be finished. Above all, relaxing with family and friends is what Pauline enjoys the most.
The interesting and wide variety of patients is what Pauline likes about being at Whiteleaf Dental Practice. People from all walks of life attend the dental practice and she enjoys conversations with patients of all ages.
